New Year...New Resources!

Please take a moment to check out some of the new resources available to us:

  • new books and ebooks,

  • how to access the New York Times for free,

  • eMagazines on Sora, and

  • Financial Times for free in the building.

Please let us know if we can help you access these resources! NEW: BOOKS We have many new books that have arrived in the past few weeks. Feel free to browse the lists here or visit the library at your convenience. Remember, you are welcome to drop in to the library to return, renew or borrow a book if we are open, even if we are full or have a class. We are open after-school on Mondays and Wednesdays until 5pm.

NEW: Reading the New York Times at Brooklyn Tech

Two ways to read: 1. At school - You can access the New York Times on DOE internet! Here are directions to send an article to yourself to read later: https://www.nytimes.com/2016/05/12/technology/personaltech/saving-a-web-page-as-a-pdf.html 2. Outside of the building - you can access NY Times articles (and other publications) through the Proquest Central Student Database. Use our password to login (Database password sheet) at https://www.brooklyntechlibrary.com/databases

  • Then search by publications “New York Times” and look for the East Coast edition. You can search articles or sort by date.

  • If you are still confused, here is a video demo

Note: the database articles usually do not include images. Please email if you have any trouble: library@bths.edu NEW: eMagazines on Sora You can now read these eMagazines on Sora, including back issues, provided by the DOE Citywide Digital Library.
